Cowriting and Producing Lola Moon

Making music and writing songs…

THE STORY:
Lola Moon is a Singer/Songwriter who meticulously straddles the epic dynamic between voice and music. At the tender age of 20, the English/German artist moved to Berlin to embark on a career in music and writing. Her storytelling visions play out in song, poems and video.

Not long after her move I discovered her work. We then joined forces to transform Lola’s writing into future songs. The motive was to carefully develop her own eclectic style and signature orchestral sounds, combining it with the pulsating electronic beats and analogue synths that Berlin has become legendary for.

Here you'll find a poem in which she describes herself in halves, painting a picture of polar balance and a short video introduction to her music:

On our journey we had the pleasure of collaborating with James Dring (Gorillaz), Dan Gretch (Lana del Rey, Keane), Jules Buckley and the Metropol Orkest (Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Flying Lotus), Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Beck, Amy Winehouse), Peter Schmidt (AnnenMayKantereit, Wir Sind Helden) and the Babelsberger Filmorchester.

During our creation phase we worked with various video-moods to develop her songs as well as her visual language. This edited clip is based on Xavier Dolans "Heartbeats" and is accompanied by her song "Blew Me Away“:

Lola Moon’s debut single „ Those Beautiful Boys“ showcases Lola Moon’s ability to balance her music between a soft delivery and an impactful message that combines her own ethereal world with a classic orchestra, putting into sound what goes on in the deepest, darkest corners of her imagination. „ Those Beautiful Boys“ highlights the beauty and struggle of living in two worlds that often crash into one another. For future videoclips we tried to translate all her creative work of poetry, songs and illustrations into a unified visual language.
